We believe a small group of passionate people can change the world.
If you don't love what you're doing, you're not going to create something worthwhile. This philosophy is the foundation of the team culture that makes working at Integrity so cool.
Founder and CEO John Simanowitz feels it's critical for every member of the team to share this belief — and to understand the nuances of the culture that has fueled Integrity's success and growth over the last 15 years. When Simanowitz founded the company, Integrity was just a few people strong. It was easy for him to develop a culture of passion and alignment.
As Integrity grew, he struggled to scale that vision.
Transparency has emerged as an integral part of ensuring that the Integrity culture hasn't been lost in our growth. The Integrity Handbook represents an extension of this philosophy of transparency and is a vehicle for conveying our values and beliefs. It's designed to give every member of the team a thorough understanding of what Integrity is all about.
"If you fully understand the company culture," Simanowitz says, "you're going to have the context for solid decision making and sense problems before you can see them. Every member of the team is empowered and expected to personally advocate for Integrity at every level."
It's also a tool for letting potential employees (and clients) know who we are and what we value — so they can decide if we're the right fit for them. Our values, our holacratic structure, our leadership philosophy, what we do and what we don't do, who and how we hire—it's all there.
And we're not shy about our goals, either. We want to continue to be the best web development company in the nation, in the world, in the galaxy. The only way to get there is with great people—clients and team members—who share our values, passions and beliefs.
"That level of cultural alignment requires knowing exactly who you are as a company and being 100 percent transparent so there is no confusion" Simanowitz says. "At Integrity, we are passionate about building cool stuff with cool people for cool people. We know not all companies or individuals share our values—but that's precisely the point. Being clear and honest about who you are is the best way to find like minds and avoid bad fits."
We could say a lot more about how we keep Integrity aligned culturally, but we'd rather just show you. Take a look at the same Integrity Handbook that each of our employees receive on their first day. And if we sound like someone you want to work with, give us a call. We would love to meet you.
