The successful overhaul of the SES marketing site is the first phase in transforming this multi-generational market leader from a traditional brick and mortar B2B wholesaler to a modernized, omnichannel distributor.
SES is an independent, family-owned wholesaler of low-voltage electronics. The business gots its start right here in St. Louis with a single, 1,000-square-foot facility and has since grown to 13 fully-stocked warehouses and showrooms throughout the central U.S. Their singular focus on exceptional customer service allows them to serve as a trusted partner to dealers and installers nationwide, aiding them in the selection and installation of top-of-the-line equipment.
Having already successfully expanded into over a dozen physical locations, SES came to our web development company looking to revolutionize and grow their digital presence. Their outmoded site was failing to reflect their position as an industry leader and had long been unable to meet their objectives. They needed a website that could help grow the quantity and quality of their customer base, increase visibility and awareness of the SES brand and provide a superior user experience to their customers.
Most importantly, this new site needed to be capable of transforming into a fully functional eCommerce site over time. The beautiful, responsive new SES marketing site is simply phase one. The next phase of this project will provide SES customers with a best-in-class eCommerce experience and give SES a distinct competitive advantage, uniquely positioning them as leaders in the low-voltage electronic wholesale industry.
In order to accomplish this, our custom web development team and user experience design experts developed a custom theme and built a highly styled marketing site with CMS functionality on the Magento 2 Enterprise Edition eCommerce platform. Leveraging foundational user experience principles, we designed a site that would enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty through its accessibility and ease of use. The redesigned SES site is not only user and mobile-friendly, it is also content manageable, making it easy for the SES team to keep their product information up to date.
