Integrity Employees Organized CVPA Backpack Drive
After the school shooting at Central and Visual Performing Arts High School, Strategic Program Lead, Lisa Grimm, stepped up to help. Since her neighborhood was so close to the school, she and a few friends grouped together to set up a backpack drive for the students affected by the tragedy.
During the horrific event, many students jumped out windows and evacuated quickly, leaving their belongings behind. Access to the school is now restricted so students lost their school supplies. As a result, the school administration wanted to provide each student with a new backpack so they could continue their education at a new location and have some hope for a brighter future. Lisa, friends and Integrity team members created and published an Amazon wishlist and collected 250 backpacks that were then delivered to the school.
Lisa gave her insight on how helping the students of Central and Visual Performing Arts High School after this tragic event impacted her life: “Creating and promoting the CVPA backpack drive was so rewarding. I cannot imagine what those poor kids went through and are still going through. I hope a new backpack filled with school supplies helps them, in some small way, regain a sense of normalcy as they continue their education. It was wonderful to see so many in the community and at Integrity get involved and I met some great new people too. We plan to keep up-to-date on events as they develop to see if there are any other ways we can help the CVPA families and students.
There are many reasons why Integrity takes pride in helping the community. Here are three of the most important reasons:
1. Giving back helps build a stronger, more united community.
When people work together for the common good, it strengthens the bonds between them. This can make the whole community and our Integrity team stronger and more resilient.
2. Giving back can lead to positive social change.
When people come together to help those in need, it can inspire others to do the same. This can lead to a ripple effect of positivity and change throughout the community.
3. Giving back simply feels good.
Helping others is its own reward. When you give back to the community, you can feel proud of yourself and your contribution. This can boost your overall morale and sense of wellbeing.
At Integrity, we believe in giving back to the St. Louis community that has supported us throughout the years to show our true appreciation. We feel it is our responsibility to help those in need and to make a difference in our community. Not only do we immerse ourselves in our clients’ businesses, but also in our communities that we are so proud to be a part of. We hope that our efforts will inspire you to do the same.
We are excited to share that Erin Sucher-O'Grady, Chief Experience Officer (CXO) at Integrity, will be presenting at BuildIT Night, part of an engaging event series for tech and innovation leaders.
